Yellow Ribbon Greetings has been creating and marketing greeting cards for over eight years. The creator of these cards is the mother of a former Marine. While her son was an active duty Marine, she was co-founder and co-leader of the Washington State "Oorahmoms" Marine Moms support group. It was with much passion that she helped lead this group as new sons and daughters completed USMC Boot Camp, and were deployed to far parts of the world, including Afghanistan and Iraq. During this time, some of the group's members became Gold Star Moms. The bonds that were created between these women will never be broken because "once a Marine Mom, always a Marine Mom."
A few years ago, Julie received an email from a potential customer. He was having trouble placing his order through the Web site. Once the issues with the order were settled, their communications continued. They were finally able to meet face-to-face in 2009. They knew what they both suspected all along...that they were in love with one another. Patrick, a former Marine, proposed to Julie, moved to Tucson from Oregon, and they were married the end of 2009. They have recently relocated from Tucson, Arizona to Grand Coulee, Washington, and continue the passion of running Yellow Ribbon Greetings together. Patrick is a professional photographer, and will be contributing his expertise to add new selections to the cards offered.
Though we are a for profit company, we often provide support in different ways for organizations that help to support our troops. One special group is the American Hero Quilts project and we hope you will visit their Web site under Links on our homepage. Yellow Ribbon Greetings is now headquartered in Grand Coulee, Washington.
